Facilities and Locations
Buchholz Safari's operate over an extended territory with a fine visitors camp in the Limpopo Province of South Africa together with locations in Namibia and Mozambique.
For those who have never visited Moz, just think back to those old Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan films from the '30's and '40's - well thats what Chris Van Schalkwyk's territory in Mozambique is like - ideal for Elephant, Hippo and enormous Crocodile, not to mention numerous other species unique to Southern Africa - please see the species and prices page for further information!
Chris himself is a Namibian and still has his own farm in the South of the Country - ideal for exceptional Springbok, Gemsbok and Kudu but perhaps not the location for the first-time visitor to the region. His camp in Limpop is far more versatile and Mozambique is different again - offering exceptional hunting for those that know the difference.
In these pictures we have tried to show the quality and diversity offered by Buchholz, but our pictures hardly do the place justice - but here's a short movie clip which hopefully gives you a better flavour - this was shot for Fiona (the chap in the clip's wife) to show her the hardships he faced during a recent visit to Africa - be gentle, it was VERY early in the morning!!
